Bitter melon is a gourd family fruit with a unique appearance and taste!
It's rich in fiber, vitamin C, folate and vitamin A. Also, it linked to numerous health benefits for controlling and improving both blood sugar levels and cholesterol levels.
Research shows that the bitter melon may have the Cancer-Fighting properties and be effective against Nasopharynx, Lung, Stomach, Colon, and Breast Cancer Cells.
In moderation, bitter melon makes for a flavorful, nutritious, and easy addition to a healthy diet. Yet, it has bitterness, so here I share the tip to reduce the bitterness from bitter gourd.
Let's make "Sauté Bitter Melon"
1/2 lb. Beef (or Chicken, Pork, Shrimp, etc.)
3 Bitter melons
1 Tomato
1/2 Onion
1/2 Mince garlic
1Teaspoon Olive oil
1Tablespoon
1 Quart water
1/4 Teaspoon Salt and Pepper
Instruction
Wash bitter melon
cut bitter melon and soak them in the salt water for least 30 minutes
After 30 minutes, boil water and parboil bitter melon and rinse (This will reduce bitter taste)
Wash and slice tomato
Slice onion
Trim and cut beef
Heat pan and add olive oil, mince garlic, onion, bitter melon, beef, and tomato.
Stir or flip it occasionally and add salt and pepper
Turn off heat and enjoy~
