Beef Bone Soup & Beef Bone Stock!

It is autumn, the weather is cold and chilly. Let's have a warm beef bone soup to boost our energy and strengthen our bone and glow our Skin health.

Beef bone soup and bone stock is the highest in calcium to help us to prevent osteoporosis. Also, it's rich in protein to boost energy. Most of all, it is said that beef bone stock and beef bone soup contains a lot of collagen, which women love. It is good for those who develop muscle strength because it is rich in amino acids, the great nutrient for women's skin health and muscles.


So, Let's prep and cook Beef Bone Soup!

Before we start cooking beef bone soup/stock, I would like to remind you that this will take total of 15 hours cooking. Please don't cook more than 18 hours.

Total of 15 hours is the best to cook rich and nutrient bone stock and bone soup.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. Beef Bone

  • 3 lb. Beef Knee Bone

  • 1 large onion

  • 5 qt. filtered-water

  • 2 bunch green onion

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instruction


Day 1)

  1. Wash and soak bones in the water for 1 hour to remove blood.

  2. Boil bones in water for an hour.

  3. Remove foams that rises to the surface. When soups and stocks are about to boil, proteins start to congeal and create foams that rises to the surface. It’s usually whitish or brownish and you need to remove the foams as quickly as possible before it boils and mixes up the scum with the soup/stock.

  4. Continue, boil and remove foams for an hour.

  5. Turn off the heat and strain bones and rinse out the scum.

  6. Trim the fats on bones. (Must remove foams and scums and fat in a separate bowl, not to your sink)

  7. Add onion and cook bones with filtered-water over medium-high-heat for 30 minutes.

  8. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue cook for next 5 hours and continue removing fat into separate bowl.

  9. when it’s 5 hours, turn-off the heat and let it cool overnight. (I recommend prepping and cook from #1 to #7 a night before actual day you plan to have "Bone Soup" for your dinner.)



Day 2)

  1. (First thing in the morning) Remove fats from soup/stock.

  2. Continue cook over medium-low heat and continue removing fats and add a cup of water in between 3-5hours for next 10 hours.

  3. After 10 hours, enjoy your beef bone soup with rice and vermicelli and little bit of chopped green onion and salt.

  4. Keep soup in separate container/jar and keep them in the freezer to use as bone stock.


You can enjoy your bone stock to make your soup, pasta, rice, marinating meat and many more.

* Add little bit of chopped green onions and salt with rice and vermicelli noodle in your bowl of Beef Bone Soup and enjoy it with kimchi.
